Using Text Codes And QR Codes for Real Estate

by Rabecca Ranaldi

As most of us with EXIT know, we all are given a vanity code for anyone to use to be sent our Mobile Business Card. However, we also have a unique way to utilize QR Codes to send our MBC as well. I also want to share with you some creative ways to customize text codes & QR Codes for our daily business and lead generation with CHIME.

TEXT CODES

Here are the step by step instructions, but basically the low down is this:

  1. Create a fun, easy text code to share with your clients, leads and audience to use for different purposes. For example: first time home buyers, Sellers looking to sell, Buyers looking for information on your farming area…. so on and so forth.
  2. Figure out WHAT you want to send them once they’ve sent the text code to your CHIME Ghost number. If its first time home buyers, then maybe you want to send them your buyer presentation or maybe the link to schedule an appointment with you to go over your buyer presentation. If they are interested in your farming area you can send them stats and neighborhood / community info for that area. you get the point…
  3. Decide if you want to connect your text codes to a +Smart Plan or to activate the AI on your website. Depending on the text code purpose, you might want the AI to begin nurturing and communicating with that lead, or maybe set them up on a smart plan to email/text them a series of messages related to the topic.
  4. PLASTER that bad boy ALL over !! Put the text code on your social media posts, blog posts, flyers… anywhere it will be seen! The more places the better.
  5. Sit back and collect their info…. Each time someone uses one of your text codes the CHIME system captures their information as a new Lead in your database.

QR CODES

SO Neither EXIT nor CHIME offer a system of creating personalized Dynamic QR codes YET. CHIME has informed me that it is in their “to do list” but there is not a designated time frame yet.

What is a QR Code?

Have you been out to eat recently or to a coffee shop…. MANY local establishments are utlilizing this technology to make ordering as touch free and simple as possible. You use your phone open your camera app and hover over the QR code and WA-LA! A website opens, or a link appears, or text pops up.

Just think of all the amazing ways you could utilize this in your business:

  • Flyers – send them to a web link with info about the listing or blog post related to what’s covered on the flyer
  • Open House Sign-In – touch free, super simple and clean option to have guests and buyer agents sign in for your Open Showings or Open House.
  • Business Cards- send them to a landing page with all your active listings, or active listings in your farming area.
  • Reviews- send a thank you card with this QR code printed in it for a quick easy way to ask for reviews after closing with a client.
  • Informational sheets in your buyer or seller packets- your QR code in your buyer packet can send buyers to your preferred lender page or quick easy apply now page. For seller packets your QR code can send them to your “what is my home worth” page or information about Title.
  • Featuring updates in your listings- you can create a QR code to highlight each update or upgrade your seller has done to the home linked with text describing the materials used and date the work was done.
  • Public Marketing in grocery stores, banners, park benches etc.
  • Advertisements on your car or window

Scan the QR Code Above and THIS is the sample Open House Sign In Form that comes up

Right now there are many different options to pay for a QR Code Creator or use one for free. I use THIS ONE for mine.

Keep in mind, with a QR Code, right now you will not be generating lead information unless you are sending the scanner to a URL link for your website or your company’s website that does utilize lead capture.

Otherwise, HAPPY CREATING and I wish you LOADS of Success!
